The bird watching and habitat assessment of the Audubon Watershed Experience at Pickering Creek takes place on the three miles of trails that pass through hardwood forests, meadows, cropland and wetlands. About 193 bird species, including Bald Eagles, Tree Swallows and Wood Ducks, can be found on the property throughout the year. Seining, fishing and water quality studies are conducted on Pickering Creek, a brackish water tributary of the Wye River.
Pickering includes 400 acres of field forest and wetland for visitors to explore and enjoy 365 days a year from dawn until dusk. Find what else is going on at Pickering Creek Audubon Center.

Worms are wiggling, fishing lines untangled, and binoculars and seine nets waiting for the spring AWE season to kick off with Pickering Creeks Professional Development Workshop on March 10, 2009. AWE educators, teachers, and potential teachers will get to participate in the AWE field experience before the students. Photos coming soon!”
