CLIMATE CHANGE

The phrase climate change is often used interchangeably with global warming. Global warming refers to an average increase in global temperature while climate change refers to a significant change in broader measurements including winds, temperature and precipitation. The impacts of climate change can vary by location. For example, parts of Eastern North America have become wetter while central Africa has become drier. Human emission of greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide, has increased significantly since the industrial revolution and has most likely influenced climate change. Determining what changes are part of natural cycles and what changes are human caused is extremely difficult.
